Believe it or not, Minnesota is a pretty big state. I had forgotten too when I accepted a job almost 10 years ago that would lead my family and I here. I started with MiTek USA in 2015 and it ultimately would lead me to a career in software development that I had previously never thought I would be involved in. I started as a Machinery specialist with the occasional dabbling in PLC code and application management, and found a whole slew of issues when we redeveloped software for some of our equipment. As sort of a proxy- product owner, I was never able to fully acquire a position as an official product owner or manager which became disheartening. in June of 23 a friend in the industry noted there was a position open at a competitor to that company, Simpson Strong-Tie, and after some showmanship and being released form my non-compete I was able to accept a role as a Product Mangar for an in-development software. My team had previously taken the scrum management courses and recommended I do the same, so here I am.
In my free time, I love to take my family and camper to new, fun places. I am also an avid outdoorsman and enjoy hiking, kayaking, canoeing, camping not in a camper, and motorized activities like dirtbike and ATV riding.
